After many months or years of requesting a photo of the paintings within SAN BIAGIO in almafi it seems it’s never open for yourself or anyone to enter. Are the doors to this historical church locked ? Don’t understand why you of all people would be locked out when you spend numerous hours showing the magical and historical beauty of almafi. I’m confused !!!

Hi William, unfortunately most of the smaller churches all across Italy are closed much of the time. The problem is the diminution of the religious community and the inability to keep the churches open - safely. It’s been closed for an extended period during all the Covid lockdowns but this year they restarted celebrating the festival for San Biagio in the church. It was very packed, which was great! I was traveling to visit family though as I often do that time of year.

Thank you for responding, I find it a shame that gods house has to be locked , we have that issue her in America and it’s troubling to me that I have to wait like I wait for a grocery store to open its doors. Never in my younger days would the lords house be closed. I attended Catholic school in the 1940 s and we could worship any time day or night . Shame. But I’ll still await a photo or two. Can’t find any on the internet . Be well, thank you .

Two things: First - if you preorder A Boat Full of Lemons, you get a tremendous discount. Secondly - to add to the advise of finding out exactly where one would be staying, I would advise asking the landlords for the correct bus stop (if planning to arrive by public transportation). You would be able to tell the bus driver and the driver would then advise you when you were at the stop.
